Welcome

Welcome to the MaizedWolverine.

Every Sunday at noon you can find your new home for college football. I will be doing a game recap of the Michigan Football game from the prior Saturday. Following games here you can find and in-depth analysis of the both the game as well a preview of next week. During non game weeks you will find recruiting details. Every week I will do a poll of games of the week. Whichever game is chosen by you the fan will also receive a brief game recap as well as a look ahead to next week’s big games.
This week’s matchup brings in a 9-1 University of Wisconsin Badgers to Michigan Stadium. The Badgers last week put up a staggering 83 points. Those 83 points is the most scored by any team in the country this season. The key for the Badgers is the running game. If Michigan can find a defensive scheme to  slow down the three-headed backfield of Clay, White & Ball they have a chance to win. With that said the front seven will be forced to find fronts to put pressure on Tolzien. The receivers the Badgers have may be unknown to some but Nick Toon has speed for days while the complimentary receivers can make plays due to the run fakes.
The Wolverines who come in at 7-3 have the 9th best rush offense in the country. The play of Quarterback Denard Robinson will be key. The stat most likely to dictate the winner is turnovers. If the Michigan Wolverines can eliminate unforced errors such as penalties and turnovers they will compete with Wisconsin. On the defensive end they have been playing better the last two weeks. The opposing offenses have struggled on 3rd down going 8-33 the last two Big Ten games while forcing six turnovers.
The unknown for this game is how Michigan will play for their coach. Its known to many that Rich Rodriguez's job may be on the line without victories the next two weeks. It will be obvious from the beginning if this group of players will play for this coach or will be looking for the next man to walk through those doors.

GO BLUE, MaizedWolverine!
